With our origins in Manchester, UK, we have proudly nurtured numerous success stories among our Ableton Live students. We have now expanded our services to Berlin and online, offering instruction in English to cater to a diverse international community.

who are we?

Founded Decloak Music Studio in Manchester in 2014 after spending the previous decade DJing at one of the cities mainstay house, techno and minimal collectives, Micron.
After years of using Ableton Live to produce, releasing under house and techno aliases such as Jack Barton, Element B, J.Barton and more recently Notraab, he soon realised he enjoyed the music making process more than the performance side, and committed his time and effort into helping others learn the skills to learn all forms of Electronic music from Dub, DnB, techno to trance.

Beyond being a producer, Jack finds satisfaction in helping others, bringing people together and putting electronic music skills in the hands of anyone with a keen ear and a willingness to learn the craft.

Realising that "having fun” should be the number one reason that anyone should be making music, he instills this to all who come through our doors.

Phil has been heavily involved in the Manchester underground scene as a DJ for the last decade, and has been releasing records under various guises since 2011. His Zonal alias is now building momentum with support from some of the techno scenes biggest names.
